to be fair, you had every single right to be upset.

you’d been there for jacob. through everything.

especially since while your mother took bella with her when she left charlie, and you’d stayed with charlie, being raised by him without your mother and sister around, which meant knowing jacob.

and you’d grown up in forks and grown extremely close to him.

practically best friends. which slowly led to you falling for him.

but, then, he suddenly started acting out, getting some tattoo, cutting his hair, and looking like he’d somehow undergone some sort of experiment that had him looking ripped β€” the abs and muscles, all of it.

you’d been yet to put it together β€” that he phased into a werewolf and joined sam’s pack, which everyone else only saw it as a β€˜cult’, and that only added onto your concerns.

when you were on insistent on trying to confront him when you grew concerned, he was only cold to you, pushing you away.

so, when he shows outside your window, before coming in to see you, in all of his new ripped glory, you’re more than upset.

    which is valid.

β€œhey, princess.” he says with a small smile, clearly noticing your face of hurt and heartache β€” that you’re still feeling β€” but it leads said-smile to drop and for his face to fill with guilt instead.

β€œlook, i’mβ€”i’m sorry.” he finally says as he steps towards you, knowing he can’t actually tell you the truth about everything, but needing to apologize.

with how tight he’s bound to the pack, he really can’t tell you the truth, but he wishes he could. now more than ever.

although, you may be distracted by the fact that he’s shirtless, yet again, since the last time you’ve seen him, a hand forms into a fist and you press it against his bare skin, against his abs.

it’s your way of keeping him further away.

but, god, if it doesn’t add onto your attraction to him.

despite that, though, you refuse to forget about how much he hurt you in the first place.

especially since he’d promised you he’d never hurt you like so many others have.
