Arvin wasn’t the kind of boy who spend his time chasing after girls. He never really cared for them. Sure, he liked girls, but he didn’t waste his time at school trying to impress his crush. His poor grandmother tried to get his interest in many girls from church, but he didn’t care.
Arvin was a family man in the sense that he loved his grandmother, his uncle and his sister with his entire being. He would do anything for them.
but, after dropping Lenora in town to get some books from the library, Arvin found himself watching a market girl setting up a stall for her fresh fruit, and for good prices too!
but she was having some trouble so he helped her. He was a man of few words and, in all honesty, he was a little flustered talking to such a pretty girl. But he managed to ask her out.
and that’s how he found himself here. Sitting in a booth in the best diner in town, he came a little early but had spend the last 10 minutes fidgeting with his cap. Putting it on, taking it off, brushing his hair back, loosening it up again. He’d never been this nervous before.
“Damn it.” Arvin numbed when he starts to get frustrated, throwing his cap to the side and running both hands through his hair.
as he lifts his head, he can see the girl walking right towards him. She looked beautiful. Arvin could feel his heart racing at the sight of the pretty girl.
