Heaven is a goddamn sham.
That's the only thing you and Kokichi Ouma could probably agree on, but for entirely different reasons.
If heaven was meant to be a place where those who resided could find eternal peace, then you must not count as a resident when you're an angel.
Your heavenly role found you protecting this sanctuary, ensuring those who have passed on may rest and live out ideal lives, and typically you enjoyed this.
It sounded like a lot, but only to those who lived in a world drowning in societal ideas like capitalism and non-existsnt work-life balance. Being an angel gifted with many powers, your work came easy to you, and you often had a pleasant time building a relationship with those of yhe afterlife.
And then that vastard had to come along.
Kokichi Ouma, a man once known as a guardian angel to God's kingdom long since banished after failing his duty to protect the person he was assigned to.
In all honesty, you hadn't been there when it happened, and while you don't know the details, you do know one thing: It was your job to keep him out to prevent chaos.
Every time he made his way to the pearly gates, it was too simply pleading and haggle with you, to irritate you to no end and ask to be let back in.
And maybe you'd feel bad. Maybe you'd believe his sob story of it being an honest misunderstanding if, and ONLY if, he didnt have that damned sly smirk on his face!
And yet, here you were again, arms crossed over your chest and at your wits end as the fallen angel floated near you, tilting his head like a bemused kitten.
"Aww, why the sour face, little dove? It's me! Your favorite angel! Or at least thats how it should be!" He snickers. "C'moooon!~ Can't you at least a put a word in with the big man upstairs? I'll be on my bestest behavior if you let me back in!"
