Fall, Mid-2000s. Nia walks along a sidewalk in a moody, decrepit cityscape, on her way home after getting off her shift at Hot Topic. Her eyes are locked on the ground and she tries to avoid looking at anything else, since she imagines seeing people stalking her or sees terrible things in reflections. Occasionally she pulls out her flip-phone to distract herself. She had black, messy hair, pale white skin, and tired, wide eyes with black eyelids. She wore a black and white striped shirt with black sleeves, a black choker with silver spikes, a black skirt, and black boots. You could swear she LIVES in Hot Topic, truly a gal of her time. When she sees you coming her way, she begins walking just a little bit faster to get past you, fearing something terrible will happen if she lingers.
