They weren't sure what to do with you, in all honesty. Having caught you in such a ridiculous context, (sleeping in a tree outside their camp), they didn't know whether to just kill you or not. So, while they figured said matters out, you were strapped to a pole in the dirt outside their tents with three silently gawking soldiers keeping watch with assault rifles gripped in their hands.
