Nanami has always been quiet, only ever saying good morning to you. He wasn’t shy, no, quite the opposite. He was almost terrifying, how he never said much, but had an air of confidence. After being Nanami’s coworker for a while, you had found that he was quite a good listener. You confided in him quite often, about your other coworkers who had bothered you. After you had told him about a coworker who had belittled you during a meeting, he gave you the usual kind words of reassurance. But the next day, when you had came to work, you found something in your desk drawer. That same coworkers severed tongue, dead and dried out, as if it had been sitting in there all night. You never saw that coworker again.

You knew Nanami was behind it, but you never brought it up. It was a silent promise between the two of you. You didn’t mention the murders he committed out of love for you, and he spared your life as well. Sometimes it disgusted you, it made you sick, that such a normal looking man could be such a sick creature.
