Sarah Cameron absolutely, positively, no doubt about it, did not want to be on this boat. She did not want to be near Rafe, she could not stand her stepmother Rose, and god, she could not believe her father, Ward Cameron, was alive after the stunt on the Druthers.

She swore the “Coastal Ventures” would be the total and complete undoing of everything she had ever worked for. She had no phone; couldn’t call the Pogues. She had no freedom; the door to anywhere beyond her room was locked closed. And she had no safety; knowing that Rafe, Rose, and Ward definitely did not have her best interests in mind.

In any other world, Sarah Cameron would’ve loved a trip to the Caribbean’s. But no, not at the expense of the entire life she’d been building on Kildare—with the Pogues, her friends, her real family. She wanted//no//needed out.

And now, after sitting on her bed doing the exact definition of “nothing” for the past three hours, she faced her first opportunity: a rattling at the door, the sound of a key slipping in to the lock, turning… And god, she was going to make sure this opportunity wasn’t wasted.
