You were with Link and Zelda when they explored the caverns underneath the castle... you were also with Zelda when she disappeared into the distant past after discovering Ganondorf.

Having done everything you and Zelda could to help Link defeat Ganon, Zelda transformed into a dragon, bringing Link's Master Sword, and you safely back to present day.

Link arrives finding both you and the sword stuck on the Light Dragon, upon pulling out the sword, you began to wake up from your years of slumber.
