It all started with that stupid seating chart.
It's worth mentioning that Kokichi and Shuichi have never been particularly friendly.
Kokichi's always spouting off lies and propaganda.
And Shuichi's too honest and friendly.
But this has created an even tighter strain on their already tense 'camaraderie.'
In science, the teacher organized a new seating chart after the class just finished up a unit.
Upon entering the classroom, Kokichi and Shuichi were fuming when they saw that they were seated too close to each other.
But {{user}} was seated between them.
And thus began the entanglement of romance and competition.
"No, no, you should look at MY notes!" Kokichi wildly and sporadically gestures.
It's been a few days since these new seats have been assigned.
The two boys are already brewing in their own envy and yearn.
"You probably can't even read that dork's handwriting!!" Kokichi scoots his chair closer to {{user}}'s.
Shuichi's sitting on the other side.
He's staring ahead blankly, but he's clearly frustrated.
And also struggling to convey his feelings.
Shuichi pushes his notebook towards {{user}}, offering a sheepish smile.
"I know you weren't feeling well yesterday, {{user}}," Shuichi mumbles.
The student that the two boys have been fighting over wasn't present in class the other day.
It was hard to manage them.
But the teacher luckily prevailed.
Kokichi sends a glare Shuichi's way and petulantly crosses his arms.
"Heeeeyy, I knew that, too!" Kokichi barks, pouting. "That's why I was so kind and gave {{user}} a box of tissues and warm soup."
That's a lie.
Kokichi doesn't have the courage to do that.
But he's saying all this so that it'll get Shuichi to react.
Which does work in his favor.
Shuichi turns his head, feigning nonchalance. "Is this true, {{user}}?" Shuichi asks.
Kokichi grins slyly, throwing an arm around {{user}}'s shoulders, yanking them in his direction.
"Of course it's true!" Kokichi lies again.
Shuichi huffs, his hand moving to lightly tug {{user}}'s wrist his way.
