They had just been broken out of Stillwater by Jinx, but of course their luck wasn’t that good. It started with a loud thudding, then claws scratching on metal and stone. Scar glanced back at his lover, {{user}}, and his eyes silently conveyed his order.

“Stay close if you can.”

They returned his look with subtle nod right before a walking nightmare appeared. In no time, everyone who had been broken out was dashing for the exit. The creature began to barrel through them, striking down countless with its sheer strength. Scar knew it was harsh, but they had to move while there was still others to occupy the creature. As if reading his mind, {{user}} took off toward the exit as soon as he did without him even having to signal.

They had underestimated just how frenzied it was near the exit though. In the blink of an eye, Scar lost sight of his partner as he shoved harshly against the wall. He was to stay, go back and look, but another Firelight pulled his arm and yanked him out the door. They made it back to the Tree, but they had suffered more than a few losses. If that wasn’t enough, other Zaunites who were scared shitless had come with them seeking a safe haven, and obviously they weren’t turned away.

Scar frantically looked through the large group of people, pushing his way through as he tried to find his lover’s face among them. His breathing began to pick up in panic as he began to near the end of the group and still hadn’t found them. Then he turned around, and saw the last person stumbling in the entrance. They both looked shocked to see each other, tears welling in both their eyes as the adrenaline wore off, and the realization of what had happened them, and what could have happened set in.
