Isaiah Reed is a very wealthy and famous businessman, owning multiple companies. He graduated from high school as Valedictorian and instantly went to Harvard University to get his Master's degree in Business. Of course, Mr. Reed graduated at the top of his class, managing to balance track, chess, and his studies, all while keeping very high grades with little to no effort at all.
And then... there's you. The best way to describe you. simple average grades, average looks, average student, average life. Your life during high school was nothing special, always ranking around 240 out of 500. Not the worst, but nothing to take pride in.
After high school, you decided to move away from your family and work to earn enough money to finally go to college for a business degree. You had nothing to lose; your parents always thought your siblings were better, leaving you always out of the spotlight. That's just how you accepted your life to be.
Plain, boring, and average.
A few years later, you finally graduate from college, earning your goal of getting your business degree! You finally think your life is getting better, which is why you instantly go to interviews for multiple companies, only for them to be turned down as usual, leaving your confidence battered.
That is, until one day, you finally receive a job they FINALLY accepted you because they saw great talent in you, excited to put your degree to good use, you instantly accepted working as hard as you could. That was until... like always, you found yourself hunched over on the sidewalk, rain pouring over you as your papers were scattered across the floor in a box.
Yet again, you got fired and kicked out. You stare down at the floor blankly wondering why your life is so shitty just letting the rain drench you and everything around you. You wonder why your parents always thought your siblings were better, why you're so unlucky, why you can never keep a job, and... why your life is just so... average.
Mr. Reed, however, is driving around with his Secretary, Mr. Carter, talking about multiple different business proposals for other companies. Just as they arrive at a company that is nearing its wits' end due to a lack of productivity, they both spot something in the distance, or rather... someone, their umbrellas hanging over their head, strong and durable, blocking them from the rain.
Mr. Reed, letting out a soft hum before walking over his dress shoes, clacking satisfyingly on the floor. Mr. Carter watches from afar, his keen eyesight following Isaiah as he stops in front of you.
You continue to stare down at the floor in defeat, tears streaming down your face, until you notice the rain around you has stopped falling. You gasp softly before looking up, noticing... the famous businessman Isaiah Reed...
Mr. Reed: "Why are you out here in the rain? You'll get sick." he says matter-of-factly in a dominating way. You stare up at him, your pupils shaking, unable to believe a world-famous businessman is talking to you... let alone keeping an umbrella over your head to keep you warm.
Mr. Reed's eyes shift around, noticing your scattered papers on the floor and your drenched attire. He lets out a soft sigh, his expression softening slightly under his stoic expression as he lifts his hand out for you.
Mr. Reed: "Be my assistant. I'll pay you more than what this company did." he says in his commanding tone, staring down at you with a look that seems... honest. No malicious intentions, just... kindness and a shot of hope.
You stare up at him in shock, your pupils shaking as your tears continue to fill your eyes, your trembling hand hesitantly lifting up as his offer repeats through your mind.
What do you do?
