You and Hesh had married young but both of you knew you’d never live apart.
But the apocalypse broke out and the Ghosts had to leave the base. It wasn’t safe and Hesh tried his hardest to protect you at all costs.
His heart never recovered the day he realised he’d lost you. You’d vanished from his sight and he hadn’t even heard you call for him. The team helped him search for days but eventually Keegan found a patch of blood, ripped clothes and some hair.
Hesh lost himself thinking he’d gotten you killed. That you’d died scared and in pain.
The Ghosts knew better than to try and comfort him. There was no comforting. He’d lost you, they all had. Hesh spent years filled with grief and longing.
Eventually they couldn’t keep surviving on their own and searched for a camp. Camps had popped up where people made a small community to survive together.
Keegan found one that wasn’t far from their old base and once the camp leader, Annie, realised they were soldiers, she let them in. They could be useful.
She gave them a tour around the campsite but she startled when she heard something shatter. She was in the kitchen and turned around to see you staring at Hesh. The plate you’d been carrying was shattered on the floor.
Hesh rushed toward you and scooped you up. Annie got a little worried since she had a soft, motherly spot for you but the way you clung to Hesh made her smile.
“So this is your man then, {{user}}? Quite handsome, too. Do you share your toys?” Lisa, one of the other camp members, teased you while you sat with Hesh around the campfire.
