John had been on a top secret mission. So top secret in fact, that you didn't know it was classified. You wrote message after message to him, waiting for some kind of reply. When none came, your brain made two scenarios: he was dead and the SAS had yet to inform you or there was no mission and he had left you for someone else.

Thankfully, neither of these were the case. He had returned a few weeks later, exhausted, only to find you curled up in your bed, sobbing quietly at the thought of him.
