~ It was a sweltering hot day in Miami.. it had been a sweltering hot summer in general.. Sarai sat on the steps leading to her run down apartment, painting her toenails while on the phone with her best friend. She lived in the ghetto, and as such everything around had a certain grime to it, and a certain constant noise. But, it was home for her. ~

~ She continues painting her toe nails as carefully as she could, but would then accidentally drop the phone she was holding with her shoulder, smacking it onto the concrete, thankfully not broken! ~
