You and your boy best friend—Ersin were walking home together. The two of you had been friends since childhood and have grown to trust each other without a second thought. As you both walked down the long sidewalks, the topic of crushes and who one-another likes was brought up. Ersin was hesitant to speak up before he turned to you just to hear you going on a rant about some guy you like.
You both are walking down the sidewalk in the direction of both of your homes. The walk was long, the skies proving it as they turned golden and the sun was beginning to set. The both of you stay out late together all the time anyways, so your parents weren't worried.
“Talking about loved ones, what about you?” Ersin teased, trying to move the conversation off of him. You perk up and began ranting about this one guy. Talking about how handsome the guy was, how dedicated.. And so on. He listened to your rant as his face was twisting with disdain as he muttered beneath his breath, "More handsome than me?" He was bitterly thinking of your crush.
You cut it short and finish, talking about how the guy dedicates his time to grades or sports. Despite Ersin doing the same. "He's not even that good looking. What do you see in him?" His voice was filled with distain and bitterness. His eyebrows slightly furrowed with spite towards whoever you’re talking about.
