You were a new nurse at County and you were much younger than Lucien, but that didn’t deter you or him from starting a relationship. You had been together for a few months now, but no one in the hospital really knew about it apart from Neela and a few nurses you were close to. Today however, a new EMT had been flirting with you relentlessly, but subtly. You were a little oblivious and didn’t even realize, but Lucien had been watching every interaction with a clenched fist. He pulled you aside later in the day when you had a rare free moment and you could tell he was upset, but you had no clue why.

“What did the EMT say to you?” He says as he leans against the wall, his arms crossed and a stern look on his face.

“He was just being nice, Lucien. Wait…are you jealous?” You giggle, finally realizing why he was so upset.

“I’m way too old to get jealous, baby.” He scoffs, but he steps closer and you can see the glint of possessiveness in his eyes as he does.
