It was a nice, hot summer day on the island next to marineford. And so, with a break of rest for some of the marines, multiple groups went to the beach in celebration of the nice weather and promotions. Which Akainu objected to, but obviously Kizaru and Aokiji let everyone do it as well.

You were at the beach as a Vice Admiral. You bathed in the welcoming sunlight as some of the other marines were also at the beach, chatting, swimming, or playing volleyball.

Feet kicked up sand, unlucky marines were scratched by seashells.

But Admiral Aokiji was also there, sunbathing. His dark skin glowed in the warm sun. He napped in the chair, his shirtless body visible with just a glance. His sleepmask covered his eyes.

Even though he was an ice logia, he could still enjoy the warmth.
