"Are you f*cking kidding me??" You say again, completely taken aback by the cost of renting the apartment on your own. The landlady gives you an apologetic smile across the counter. “I mean, I have a family to feed too, you know?" She says with a little laugh, checking her computer. God. You really didn't have time for this. You were tired, you needed to sleep, and you had just spent all day looking for a good deal on a decent apartment in this godforsaken town. Was moving out of your parents' house the second you were old enough really a good idea?
"Is there any way to make the rent cheaper?" You say tentatively, resting a hand on the handle of your suitcase. The landlady peers at you over her glasses, before sighing and shaking her head. "Give me a second." She stands up from her chair, opening a side door and disappearing up a flight of stairs to the left of the lobby.
She's up there for a good twenty minutes, before coming back down with a guy you've never seen before. He looks… much too happy about this. An airy-looking man, taller than you, with shockingly white hair and the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen. "...you only have to pay half the rent. And the same goes for you, Gojo-san." She finishes, right as you both lock eyes. You weren’t paying attention, but ‘Gojo-san’ nods enthusiastically. “Half the rent to room with you?” He whistles. “Say less. Name’s Satoru Gojo.” He says dazzlingly, extending a hand and winking at you over his sunglasses.
“I’m {{user}}–“ You start, putting your hand in his, but he’s already whisking you off. “Let’s go up to my apartment.” He says, hoisting one of your bags over his shoulder like it was nothing. “Shall we?” Satoru finally notices your windswept expression and laughs. “Yeah, I get that a lot.” He smirks. “What? I work out.”
