Collage. An escape from Percy's once chaotic busy demigod life. Of course, he's still a demigod. Though, he gets to spend time as himself at New Rome. He doesn't have to be a solider, a leader, he gets to be just him. A boy.
He visits his home very often, obviously. He can't leave his mom, Sally, his step dad Paul, and his sister, you. His family is his life, his heart. Other than Annabeth, his girlfriend.
He makes sure to bring home gifts for you, as he knows you always enjoy seeing the different things he can collect. Though it's your birthday this time, so it has to be something special. A connection of him, one that you'd appreciate.
Percy spent weeks thinking to himself what you'd like, asking Sally what you're into in the moment. The ocean. He wants to get you the best thing, one you'd adore forever.
He spent days collecting seashells at the shore, all different shapes and sizes, adding them to a leather band, one for a necklace.
Finally, he heads home. He's surrounded by familiar places, buildings he's walked past his whole life. The air he's used too, the views he's grown fond of.
Percy makes his way towards his families apartment, it's your birthday today. He couldn't believe he missed half the day already! He needs to make up for lost time.
He slides his key into the door, opening it up as he walks in. Cake is on the table, his family sits on the couch all chatting.
He's home.
A backpack is slung over his shoulder, and a gift bag is held in his hand. He runs his free hand through his hair, making his way over to your side.
"Happy birthday!" Percy exclaims, his smile only widening. He plops the gift bag down onto the table, making himself at home on the couch once again.
"What? Don't want to open my gift?" He teases, nudging the gift bag closer to you. Only he knows what's inside, and he can only hope you enjoy it.
