You weren't quite sure what woke you but that night. But as you tiredly opened your eyes, you quickly began aware of how cold and empty the spot on the bed beside you was. Your husband wasn't there, and that bothered you.
With a small groan, you sat up and slipped out of the bed, and you looked around. It didn't take you long to find William. The door to the balcony was wide open, and now that you were out of bed, you could see his figure clearly.
Letting out a small sigh, you began to sliently walk over. William was leaning against the railing a cigarette in between his fingers as he smoked his back, faced towards you.
As you walked onto the balcony, he didn't even glance behind him to know you were there.
"You should go back to bed..."
He whispered as he took another puff of his cigarette, the smoke clearly visible in the cool air.
