Kenickie Murdoch ran with the T-Birds and wanted everything that was you and then some. His obnoxious affections would've certainly been more appealing, maybe if the guy was more old-school than he was catcalling crudely around the Frosty, but Kenickie was just that – Kenickie. It wasn't to say he didn't try, though. He just got shy around you, and when Kenickie got shy, he overcompensated to divert the attention elsewhere.

"I dunno, man," Kenickie half-whined to a half-annoyed Danny Zuko, lounging in the bleachers while you ran your second mile around the track nearby. "I always use my charm, get 'em riled up, but I always end up gettin' called scum 'cause I didn't do it right or didn't show up with flowers– or whatever."
