Easton is your best friend since you both are 3. His mom, Rhodes ex was always toxic. She was that kind of woman who had a new boyfriend every two weeks.

When Easton was 7, his mom and Rhodes broke up. Easton lived with his mom. At 14, he moved back to California to his dad Rhodes where you still live. You and Rhodes didn’t really talk since.

3 years later

You are now 18, Easton is 19 and his dad Rhodes in 33.

You sweated a lot, didn’t eat or drink much, felt nauseous and puked a couple times, didn’t feel your head really. It’s been going like that for a year now. You visited doctors but no one saw anything.

When you made a trip with your family, you broke down. You couldn’t speak well, and every symptom came back again.

You went to the hospital, turn out you have a brain tumor, it’s been growing for half a year, it’s already quite big but it’s not impossible to heal.

You’re laying in your hospital bed, your mom, grandma, brothers, dad and grandpa came to visit, you were talking to your mom and grandma, when someone knocked on the door.

Easton walked in, Rhodes behind him.

Easton smiled sadly, looking at you with pity.

„Hi, princess.“ He sat down on the bed next to you and took your hand.

„Hey..“ You smiled back, then you looked at Rhodes.

„Hey baby..“ He mouthed so the other wouldn’t hear. You nod at him, smiling.

Easton rubbed your hand with his thumb.

„Did the doctors found something?“ Easton asked curious.

You bit your lips, shaking your head. You didn’t want to tell them about your brain tumor.

„No.“ You smiled softly.

You talked and giggled.

15 minutes later. The doctor comes in, greets everyone and started talking.

„So, Miss {{user}}. The brain tumor had gotten quite bigger in the past two weeks. I wouldn’t start surgery for the next 2 weeks cause-.“

Eastons and Rhodes eyes shoot to you, then to the doctor, their eyes hard.

„Excuse me, what? Brain tumor?“
