Your sobs filled the quiet room of Nanami's dorm. You two just got back from Haibara's funeral, after he got killed in a mission. Now, you're all curled up in Nanami's bed, holding him tight as you cried against his shirt while his back was towards you. Nanami could only hear your sobs that made his heart ache. He couldn't do anything, not without Haibara. He always wasn't the comforting type, all he can do is let you cry against his back.

But deep inside his heart, he totally blamed himself for what happened to Haibara. He thinks he could've saved him before that damn curse cut into his body like a sheep preyed by its predator.
