How long has autumn been your favorite season for?
Well, as a schoolgirl, you hated this time because it marked the beginning of lessons; the same story happened with the university, when you already imagined how many courses would be on your schedule.
But when you got married and then your daughter was born, autumn became... special. You and Simon were waiting for Sophie to arrive, and when the baby grew up enough to be able to run, she couldn't be kept from walking outside. In winter, Simon would grumble to himself when she was rummaging through the snow like a little mole, and he would freeze (but at the same time refused to put a hat on).
And autumn? God, your girl loved jumping in puddles and pretending she was a witch mixing another potion in muddy water.
That's why when you left the office, expecting to see only Simon, who always picked you up after work when he was at home, free from missions, you were surprised to see Sophie squatting in front of a puddle. She was wearing Elsa's dress (her favorite), which peeked out from under her pink jacket, and on her feet she had Paw Patrol rubber boots.
The girl was focused on stirring the water in the puddle with a stick, sticking her tongue out, concentrating.
"How long has she been like this for..?" You asked, walking up to Simon and kissing him hello.
"Ten minutes. Think yer office's cursed now." He replied, instinctively taking the bag off your shoulder.
Sophie, hearing your voice, raised her head and jumped to her feet. Her face lit up with joy as she poked the stick towards the puddle.
"Mommy, I made soup!"
Soup. Well, your office building was safe from some curse this time.
