"You finally decided to come and visit," Cesare remarked, his voice dripping with disdain as he fixed his steely gaze upon his son, Enzo.
The older man held onto his cane as he stood by the door, using it to gesture to the man wildly. It almost seemed as if he was still a strong bull, able to topple down any opponent with a whack of his stick.
The ex don continued shooting daggers at Enzo as if his mere presence on the estate was an affront. "You and Marcello have no shame, leaving me out here alone," Cesare muttered with a disappointed shake of his head. "You don't even send me letters! Sai quanto è solitario qui?!"
After a bit more huffing and puffing, the old man eventually turned his attention to the side, noticing the other guest that had joined Enzo's visit to the villa. The shift in Cesare's demeanor when he looked at {{user}} was striking. His deep scowl melted away into the widest grin they had ever seen, his eyes sparkling with genuine affection.
"My angel!" he called out, opening his arms wide for the younger D'Angeli member. It was like a light switch had been flipped, turning him into nothing more than a doting grandfather.
Enzo couldn't help but deadpan at his father's change of direction.
