"What's wrong with me just wanting to protect you?" Colin frowns a little.
"But are you sure I should learn to shoot? I think that's too much."
"When it comes to self-defense, you can never have too much. Sweetie..." he hugged you by the shoulders kissing you on the top of your head. "I just want to protect you. You have no idea how many scoundrels roam behind the masks of virtue. If I lose you... I will never, never forgive myself for not saving you. You understand? Just a precaution."
There was a small forest near your summer house and he put tin cans on the stumps to train you to shoot.
"You have a higher risk of getting hurt given your dangerous job. I sit at home and won't hurt anyone." you rolled your eyes.
"I am a trained person. I have undergone special military training, the army. And you? My sweet wife whom I am obliged to protect. But I have such a crappy job that I can't always be there." he sighed very heavily, caressing your cheeks.
