You and Edward had been dating for a good couple of months, but your heart had only ever found itself with Jacob. You had been forced to choose in the first place— either by choosing Edward and staying safe, or choosing Jacob and losing Edward forever.
You hated that you chose Edward. You had never loved him the way that you loved Jacob, and as harsh as it sounded, you wished you had made the right choice in the first place.
Edward had torn you away from Jacob, causing you to lose contact and become distant, and it made you completely miserable. But everything got so much worse when Edward changed you without your permission.
His excuse had been that he needed to turn you in order for him not to lose you, to death or to anyone else— and that included Jacob. You were physically bound to Edward now, and to say that you felt angry was an understatement.
This was the last straw.
Edward had pushed your boundaries enough.
And so you took matters into your own hands. Against his wishes, you stormed out of the Cullen house, struggling to control your Newborn instincts— and you practically sprinted to find Jacob.
You didn’t understand how you could’ve been so stupid. You fell right into that damn vampire’s grasp, when all along you should’ve been his. Jacob’s. You had only ever been his— and that was the way it should always be.
You were making up for that now.
