Link was walking around in his Hylian form, Midna napping peacefully in his shadow. All was well, up until he heard the cries and whimpers of a wolf, and he went to assist the creature. Midna tries to convince him not to, but link ignores her, persisting on in his search for the harmed creature.

Piercing through the thick underbrush with his sword, he eventually reached a clearing, where he saw a strange person cradling an injured wolf in their arms.
