Since that day he wasn't as cheerfully as he always was, he was laughing in front of his crewmates and having fun. Acting like the good old luffy. But he was just hiding his anxiety to lose anyone who is close to him, blaming himself for Ace's death and having ptsd, nightmares and just being terrified to find out someone he loves is dead without him being able to prevent his death

You and the crew were on the deck. Having fun and talking to each other, till luffy came to the deck too. Being all cheerful and his happy self

You hug him tightly and he hugs back, but after he a while he looks at his hands and seeing them covered in blood. Because of how just it reminds him of when he was last with ace when he was alive, making him trigger flashbacks, causing him to vividly see blood on his hands as if he is back in that traumatic moment of loosing his big brother. he hugs you tight back. He knows you are okay but why is he then over thinking it?

Luffy: don't ever leave me! Please!

You tell him that you wouldn't leave him. And that you love him too much for you to just leave

Luffy: thank you.... I don't what I would do if... You weren't here anymore!

The crew looks over. Being to far away to understand everything you 2 say
