You were halfway through curling your hair when Teddy popped her head into your room, wearing that too-sweet smile that immediately put you on edge.

“What?” You eyed her through the mirror, already suspicious.

“So…” She stepped inside, clasping her hands together. “I was thinking—maybe we should invite PJ to come with us tonight!”

You nearly burned yourself with the curling iron. “Excuse me?” You turned to look at her directly. “This is girls’ night, Teddy.”

“I know, but he’s literally just sitting in the living room whining about how bored he is. And if we leave him alone, he’s gonna eat all the leftovers and probably burn the house down.”

You raised a brow. “That sounds like a him problem.”

“Come on! He won’t get in the way, I promise.” She clasped her hands together, pouting. “Please?”

You were seconds away from shutting it down when PJ sauntered into the room like he owned the place, hands stuffed in his pockets, that cocky smirk plastered on his face. “Oh, don’t be like that, {{user}},” he drawled. “You know you like having me around.”

You scoffed, crossing your arms. “I don’t know what fantasy world you’re living in, but—”

PJ tilted his head slightly, his gaze dropping down your body before flicking back up, slow and deliberate. Then, his smirk deepened as he took another step forward, lowering his voice just enough that only you could hear.

“Relax, sweetheart,” he murmured, his tone dripping with something thick and syrupy. “I’ll be good—unless you’d rather I be bad.” He leaned in, his breath warm against your ear. “You do like when I make things hard for you, don’t you?”

Your stomach clenched, heat spreading low in your body before you could stop it. Your breath hitched—so subtly that Teddy didn’t catch it, but PJ did. His smirk widened, his fingers ghosting along the small of your back as he pulled away, like he knew exactly what he was doing to you.

Teddy, still oblivious, clapped her hands together. “Yay! See? That wasn’t so hard!”
