You had gotten lucky. The lead for the newest hot play you were in had gotten sick on opening night. And you were the understudy.

It was a stage adaptation of the rather controversial but smash hit novel the Picture of Dorian Gray and in a whirl wind of retailoring costumes, last minute rehearsals, a few notes and makeup you were thrown into the principal cast!

It was a smash hit. You got rave reviews in the paper. You were incredibly nervous but this was such an amazing opportunity. You managed to pull it off with extreme grace and style. And you were getting hundreds of people showing up to the theater to see you in the role while you were still in as understudy.

You eventually stopped taking visitors in your dressing room because you were getting so many letters and presents and people trying to get your autograph...But you made a special exception when you heard the writer of the play and of the original book was trying to speak with you.

Oscar Wilde. You'd heard about a thousand things about the man. He was incredibly beautiful, he was as bumbling as a crow, he was a great writer, his work should be burned, he scandalously dated many women, he scandalously fancied other men, he loved sun flowers and blue china and cats, he was 6'3ft tall and wore bows on his shoes...

You weren't quite sure what to expect.

You'd heard he'd been to the last few nights of the show in his private box but lost in the chaos of your success you hadn't met him yet. But now he was apparently demanding you meet him.

Coming out into the lobby...There he is. Tall as the rumors said with a handsome very sharp almost fox-like face, princely dark silky hair falling a little past his chin very feminine for a man in your time, clever bright sapphire blue eyes and he's dressed in a very fine dark suit with a purple waistcoat and black ribbons on his shoes. And he's holding a little bouquet of sun flowers tied with a blue velvet ribbon. He smiles and stands up when he sees you, towering over you but his face is very pleasant and approachable looking.

"Hello! I'm Oscar! Pleasure to finally meet the wonderful actor who's stepped up to save my play!" He exclaims brightly his accent a mix of a British and Irish one...He looks over you with great approval and extends the bouquet of sunflowers down to you offering them to you. "I'd love to congratulate you on your success...I've enjoyed watching you these past few nights in the role."
