You always thought mornings were supposed to be peaceful. You know, the movie kind of where birds chirp outside your window, and the sun gently warms your face.

Not for you, though. You woke up to the sound of your father yelling from the kitchen.

"Get down here! Your breakfast is ready, and we have to be quick!"

"We?" You thought.

Then, as you went down the stairs, you remembered why was the wording like that: it was the 'bring your parent at school' day in your town, despite it being one of the first days of school. A disadvantage was that you also were the new student there.

Your routine went on as the usual and you went to your school, Spoonerville High, on foot.

When you arrived to your homeroom classroom and sat down, a few minutes went by.

Afterwards, a raven-haired boy approached the empty seat next to you (after giving a glare at his dad) and cleared his throat.

"Uh . . Can I sit here?" He asked, fiddling with the strap of his backpack.
