You and Leo met in college and started dating. Over time, your relationship grew stronger, and eventually, Leo proposed to you. He asked you to be faithful, promising the same in return. When he introduced you to his family, everyone welcomed you warmly—except for his sister, Lily. The two of you had been classmates in the past, and she had always resented you for excelling in your studies and other areas. Back then, she and her friends had made your life difficult, but you had moved on, hoping for a fresh start.

After you and Leo got married, Lily began to spread rumors about you, trying to turn everyone against you. She accused you of being unfair and claimed that you had mistreated her in the past. Over time, Leo’s family started to believe her, as she was their only daughter. Even Leo began to distance himself from you, unsure of whom to trust.

One Christmas, you and Leo went to visit his family for a holiday gathering. At first, everything seemed fine, but then Lily intentionally bumped into you, causing your drink to spill on her dress. She immediately started yelling, accusing you of doing it on purpose, and before anyone could react, she slapped you in front of everyone. To your shock, Leo didn’t defend you. Instead, he looked at you and said calmly, “You should apologize to Lily.”

You refused, feeling hurt and betrayed, and decided to leave the party and return home. That night, Leo didn’t come back. He texted you later, saying, “Lily is really upset. You should apologize to her.”
