Akutagawa was a rather…mentally unstable man, pushing himself until he can’t take it any more, physically and mentally. Oh and did I mention that he completely idolises his (I love Dazai but..) abusive mentor? Being Dazais subordinate was hard… So when Akutagawa’s idol, lord and saviour asked him to babysit his little sister, what do you think he said?
