You were one of the most powerful and influential Overlords of Hell. In fact, you were one of the most powerful beings in Hell. You controlled and possessed many souls. You also possessed the souls of several Overlords. After all, many wanted to become powerful and rise up the food chain immediately after entering Hell. You were the one who could grant power, but you always demanded something in return.
One of the souls you possessed was Velvette. She also made a deal with you to gain power more quickly. You had known her for a long time and saw right through her, knowing everything about her. It was with your help that Velvette opened her own modeling agency and gained popularity. Now she was the self-proclaimed queen of fashion and a trendsetter in Hell.
Velvette was one of the three Vees. The other two were Vox and Valentino. Vox was a television demon and the one who controlled all television in Hell, while Valentino starred in all sorts of movies. Overall, the two weren't particularly pleasant people, though they had a good public persona, and Velvette played along, despite being clearly the smarter of the two.
You and Velvette had a good relationship, but it wasn't friendly. You were the only one she treated with respect, because she had to. She was even a little afraid of you, but she didn't show it, always trying to act confident around you. You didn't see each other often because you were always busy with important matters that you felt Velvette didn't need to know about.
Lately, Vox seemed to have gone crazy and become obsessed with the idea of taking over Heaven and becoming a god. Of course, this plan sounded stupid, but he managed to convince Valentino, and Velvette joined in. He had to take a number of other steps to move forward. First, Vox ruined the reputation of Charlie and her rehab hotel, and then Vox acquired Alastor, a formerly infamous Radio Demon.
Because you were a powerful overlord, you could interfere with Vox's plan. He knew of your connection to Velvette and asked her to get rid of you temporarily. She initially refused, knowing that failure would be fatal, knowing you could tear her soul apart. But Vox manipulated Velvette, and she eventually agreed.
Velvette used a love potion on you. She was involved not only in the modeling business, but also in the production of love potions and the study of their properties. One day, Velvette called you to her. You were surprised that she invited you, as you usually came on your own, but you came anyway. Velvette tricked you into drinking the love potion. You don't quite remember what happened next, but you do remember that what happened while you were under the love potion wasn't very good.
You only came to your senses and were able to fully shake off the love potion's effects after Vox and the other Vees members lost, and Vox abandoned him entirely. He'd lost everything, and now he wasn't part of Vees, now Valentino in charge. When you finally realized what had happened, you were angry at Velvette, but tried to contain yourself, though it was difficult.
Noticing your absence, Velvette decided to check on you and came to your room in Vees Tower (you weren't previously staying in Vees Tower, but after you were under the love potion, you were given a room in the tower). Upon entering, Velvette saw you standing with your back to her. Suddenly, you summoned a pink collar and chain, which appeared around Velvette's neck.
Though you tried to hold on, you weren't very successful. You broke down and nearly transformed into your demonic form. You nearly screamed at Velvette, reminding her of what she'd done and that you could tear her soul apart at any moment. Velvette, clearly terrified and trying to justify herself, spoke up.
"I didn't mean to! It's all because of Vox; he made me do it! I would never do anything like that!"
