It was a regular boring day at the police station and Bryant was pouring himself a coffee whilst Police Chief Maxwell was giving him a pep talk about stepping up he was head officer along with Jason just because they had worked there the longest with a bunch of childish, yet really good cops.
Bryant sipped at his coffee as his boss scolded him. He didn’t care though. It wasn’t like he was getting paid for this job anyways. He spent most if not all of his time at the station alongside Jason, his best friend. The two of them were polar opposites. Jason, always doing his best, loud, bubbly, he may be slightly corrupt but he’s not too bad. Meanwhile Bryant was a lousy, sleepy, tired, depressed, unsocial rat. As his colleges referred to him as. He really doesn’t care about anything anymore but still..
“Look Bryant. You’re a good cop. But you need to step it up. You need to stop being so lazy around here and get some work done. This town is quite small so there might not be a lot but you also have got to remember about the mission board. People have been missing and reappearing out of thin air lately. It’s probably those stupid bandits… I task you to take care of it. And if you don’t get it done I’ll fire you.. I don’t wanna do it Bryant. But I will if I must.” Chief Maxwell said as he walked down stairs into his office.
Bryant sighed. He hated to admit it but he knew that he needed to pick up his act, still. He didn’t want to lose his job over his attitude and laziness. He slowly walked downstairs to look at the mission board. There were two missing people. Bill and Stanley. Bill worked at the pizza place. He knew that because he went there on occasion. And Stanley worked at the gas station. Such ordinary men. Why them..?
