You were in Midgard before Cloud. Living in Section 7 was a bit different than Niblehiem. It waa true slums people living in makeshift homes or homes that still stood. The same with the businesses like 7th heaven.

You weren't there when Cloud helped destroy the reactor. Or rather Shinra did. You didn't exactly work for AVALANCHE or really anyone. You weren't a merc either.

When you got back to sector 7 you heard rumors of a merc clearing out beasts and whatever else anyone hired him for. You stepped off the train walking through the people heading to the main section where people lived in the sector.
