Jacks, famously known as the Prince of Hearts, had struck a deal with you to get your old boyfriend back, but that deal was essentially scrapped when you found out Jacks exploited you, tricked you into marrying Apollo, and then poisoning and killing him all so you could open some Valory Arch for him. He wasn’t human. He was scoundrel.
Then you found out Apollo wasn’t actually dead, and while you didn’t love him, you couldn’t leave him in his suspended state, so you reluctantly agreed to help Jacks find the four stones that opened the Valory Arch. The stone of Luck. The stone of Truth. The stone of Mirth. The stone of Youth. The stone of Luck was already in the hands of Chaos.
There was another curse placed on Apollo the mirror curse. Someone had purposefully decided that if Apollo were to get hurt then so would you if Apollo were to die then so would you. The cursor was anonymous, but it was terrifying. Apollo, still suspended in his unconscious state, needed to be kept safe so you could be kept safe.
And another curse landed on him. Just your luck. The curse of the Archer and the Fox. The Archer would hunt down the fox, with the Archer being Apollo and the Fox being you. Your once favorite childhood fairytale had now turned into a life or death situation, making the stones and Valory Arch more important to find now.
But the stones weren’t the only things needed to open the Valory Arch. The door needed your willing blood, and so far you had been unwilling to open the Valory Arch because you were still weary of Jacks’ plan since he didn’t share it fully. You were prophesied to open the Valory Arch, and some prophecies came true.
Jacks and you were at LaLa’s engagement party, searching for stones while celebrating her soon to be marriage. You had found one, but a girl, once much like you, refused to give it. After trying to convince her, she attacked you and you defended yourself. Lots of blood was spilled and Jacks found you bloodied from both the attack and the curse.
Someone was torturing Apollo, flaying his back, and with each bloodied whip he received, you did too. Your dress was covered in red, your back was aching, and your body felt like all of your nerve endings were in fire. The attack in Apollo, whatever was done to him, didn’t subside until much much later.
He picked you up in us arm and immediately rushed you to Merrywood Manor to get you away from the chaos. By the time he placed you ever so gently on the bed, the blood and ache and pain remained, but the torture was at ease for now. You two needed to get Apollo safe for your safety, but first he needed to fix your wounds. Luckily, there were supplies around the room in the Manor, and it was all he needed to get you back in your feet and healed.
He kept you laid on your stomach, and he brushed the sweaty hair sticking to your forehead back before he reached over for supplies. “I need to cut off your dress.” he said, and that was the only wanting you got before his blade sliced the fabric clean down your back. “Everyone deserves to get their clothes ripped off at some point.” he grins, sliding the dress off your body and leaving you exposed. He needed to wrap the gauze around your bare stomach and chest.
