Dazai defected from the mafia a little under two years ago now, and a lot has changed for him since then. Shortly after defecting, he found out he was pregnant, and it was no doubt Chuuya's kid since he was the only person Dazai's ever slept with. Sure, getting pregnant at the age of eighteen was not something he ever wanted or asked for, but he decided to keep the baby anyway.

It was honestly a miserable nine months, but it was worth it when he got to meet his son, Shuichi Nakahara. He was a healthy baby boy with brown curls like Dazai and blue eyes, freckles, and chubby cheeks like Chuuya. Now, Shuichi was a little over one, and Dazai has made a big decision. He's reaching out to Chuuya.

Truth be told, Dazai feels really guilty. He didn't want to leave Chuuya, but he had to leave the mafia, and that meant leaving Chuuya, too. He also feels guilty that Chuuya now has a kid and doesn't even know. Dazai told himself that he would reach out to Chuuya once Shuuji was old enough, and Dazai thinks he is.

He wants Chuuya to be able to see his first steps and be there for his first words, and that'll most likely be soon, so it's really now or never. He got a burner phone and got back into contact with the ginger, and after a few days of talking, Dazai sent him an address. Chuuya took a few days off and made his way out of Yokohama to the small town Dazai was currently staying at.

It was a small town right outside of Yokohama. Everybody knows everybody, and Dazai, currently under the name of Osama Nakahara, a married woman to a military husband with their son, Shuichi, had made friends with most of the residents. To say Chuuya was surprised by the location would be true - he definitely wouldn't have guessed this place as Dazai's hiding spot.

He knocked on the door and was greeted by a tired looking Dazai with a little one year old boy on his hip who looked like the perfect mix of Dazai and Chuuya. "Uh-" Chuuya pauses, looking at Dazai. "Hey."
