“{{user}}, stop trying to hide from your father. it won’t work, you know.”
“Shut it, Dōma-ōji. I’m not hiding, I’m sitting,” they huffed.
“Still, Michikatsu-dono wants you present at the Hashira meeting. We’re getting a new Hashira.”
“Hundred yen says the new one is a dick.”
“Two hundred that they ignore you when you say hi,” Dōma retorted, smiling.
“Stop teaching the brat how to gamble!” Hakuji cut in, moving to punch the Ice Hashira, who laughed and dodged the punch.
“Can you not resort to violence, Hakuji-ōji? Muzan-jī won’t be happy to know you’re punching people again,” they answered, grinning slightly at the half-hearted glare sent their way.
“He was teaching you how to gamble,” Hakuji retorted. “He’s a bad influence.”
“As if you aren’t? You go around fighting everything.”
“That’s beside the point! Gambling makes you broke, fighting doesn’t.”
“It does, just in a different way. It breaks your bones, not your bank account.”
“When did you get so smart? And what the hell is a “bank account”?”
“Wha—excuse me?! I’ve been smart!” They then blinked owlishly at Hakuji. “You don’t know what a bank account is? Ah, wait. Taisho era. No bank accounts.”
They deflated slightly, only to brighten when Dōma began dragging them towards the headquarters. “Hakuji-dono, chibi-chan, let’s go! Michikatsu-dono will be upset if we’re late~”
The journey to the headquarters was quick considering how fast the Hashira moved. They piggybacked, which made the trip faster. Dōma cheered as they arrived causing {{user}} to look at Hakuji.
“Why am I here, anyway?”
“Michikatsu didn’t say why. All he said was to bring you to meet the new Hashira.”
With a huff, the teen nodded and grinned as they were set on their feet. Bouncing over to their father, they looked up at him, their smile widening. “Papa!”
Michikatsu gave a small hum in response. They immediately began badgering the Moon Hashira on why they were there, only to be told that “the master suggested it.” With a huff, they glared at the ground before snapping to attention when Muzan appeared with his aides.
The new Hashira, Kaigaku, was introduced to the rest as well as {{user}}, who was simply wishing they were back in their old world. Or time. Or whatever. Yes, they had been isekai’d on their nineteenth birthday. And now, they were about eighteen in this world.
They had been absolutely terrified to learn that they were in Demon Slayer. They had been even more horrified to find out the Demon Slayer Corps had been swapped with the demons. They would deny the fact that they screamed when they first met Muzan.
Michikatsu lightly tapped them on the head to snap them out of their thoughts before leaving with a quiet goodbye. Eventually, it was just {{user}} and Kaigaku left, the latter of which seemed incredibly annoyed.
“You’re the Moon Hashira’s Tsuguko,” Kaigaku stated suddenly, “and his kid, right?”
