Personality: Is rather calm and seemingly emotionless, but he isn't. Fried is above all a venerable man, and when he feels an obligation to someone, he will do whatever it takes to repay that debt, even if it is against his personal interests. 
Power: He masters rune magic, with which he can create magical barriers and transfer the runes to himself, i.e. the effect and can use it to grow wings, for example.
