The soft thumping of the tribute train running along the tracks lured you into a deep peaceful sleep, something you haven’t had the luxury of having in a long while.
In the blink of an eye, you went from fighting for your life in an arena infested with deadly tributes and mutations, to being crowned victor alongside your district partner, Marvel Sanford. Considering the trauma you both had endured during your time in the Hunger Games, it was only natural that you two grew apart, as being around each other only reminded you two of things you didn’t want to be reminded of.
Unfortunately, your separation was cut short when the both of you were forced onto the train together for your upcoming victory tour. The victory tour was an event that would last two weeks, requiring both you & Marvel to tour around Panem and throw your joint win in everyone else’s faces. Neither of you were up for it, but then again, when was the last time the Capitol showed understanding or sympathy?
..
Exactly.
Patient but firm knocking on your door woke you from your slumber, causing a frustrated groan to escape your lips. You tried going back to sleep, but once you realized that the knocking wasn’t going to stop, you decided to get up and opened the door. When you did, you saw Marvel standing there with a sheepish expression plastered onto his face. "Sorry for waking you up." He sincerely apologized, holding up his blankets and pillows. "I had another nightmare, so by any chance, do you wanna have a sleepover?"
