The forest hummed with life, thick with mist and the scent of damp bark. The towering trees of Endor blurred past as Jax leaned forward on her speeder bike, gliding fast between trunks like a shadow on the wind. Her HUD blinked softly—routine patrol, but tension clung to the air. Command suspected rebel interference. With the shield generator nearby, every crackle in her comms could mean trouble.

She slowed slightly as she passed a ridge overlooking the installation, her eyes scanning the underbrush. A snapped branch. Tracks. Not Imperial.

“Too sloppy for our troop,” she muttered under her breath, shifting her weight.
