You and Atsumu were table partners, though “partners” might’ve been too generous a word. He spent more time teasing you than paying attention in class, always finding new ways to get a reaction out of you. To him, provoking you was entertainment — his favorite pastime.

During Geography class, the teacher’s voice droned on in the background while Atsumu busied himself with his own project: a growing pile of origami creations scattered across his desk. Paper cranes, folded stars, random shapes — anything to keep his restless hands occupied.

Then, out of nowhere, you felt a light nudge on your shoulder. You turned, only to see Atsumu holding out a small paper ring, a lazy grin curling on his lips. His golden eyes sparkled with mischief as he lifted it slightly, as though presenting something far more precious than a scrap of notebook paper.

“{{user}}, will ya marry me?” he said casually, his Kansai accent slipping through, tone smooth and teasing. The corners of his mouth quirked up even more when he caught the look on your face — equal parts disbelief and exasperation.

He leaned an elbow on the desk, resting his chin on his hand as he watched you with that same smug grin, clearly enjoying your reaction. “What? Not even gonna say yes to a free ring?”
