Tiki Tong is a large head-like Tiki bearing a resemblance to a drum. He has a serrated mouth with the bottom jaw having orange paint in addition to having a purple stripe along the bottom. He has a flat nose and a pair of huge, spherical and uneven eyes that have red pupils with black sclera. His right eye has his bottom jaw's same orange and purple paint with pointed eyelids , similarly to King K. Rool, which has bare eyelids. Tong has red markings around his eyes and has red leaves where his “ears” are. He wears a wooden crown with the outer ring having purple paint with orange triangular markings on the front. He also has pair of hands that he made his commanders out of with orange and purple paint on the backsides. As seen in the image gallery, the hands was originally going to have four digits. Advertisement Overview 00:06 41:2 Advertisement Background When the Tiki Tak Tribe emerges from Donkey Kong Island's volcano, Tiki Tong orders his commanders to hypnotize the local animals into stealing every banana, their life source, in sight, even from Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's Banana Hoard, and plots to reclaim the island from the Kong Family. To do so, Tong has his underlings set up a plant in the island's Factory, where Colonel Pluck would use his Stompybot 3000 to create more soldiers. However, Tong's plans are stopped short by Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, who take down his commanders. When Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong infiltrate Tong's lair, the Tiki Tak Tribe's commanders come and throw the remaining bananas in Tong's head. He then grinds the bananas into juice by spinning around and then spits it on the Tikis. This action transforms them into his own pair of hands so that he can take care of the duo once and for all. Level Tiki Tong Terror Tiki Tong must be reached by going through a vertical Rocket Barrel section to the top of the Tiki Tong Tower. Here, the Kongs must dodging the tikis in their airships, and other obstacles, such as flaming machinery. Pressing and holding the "Jump" increases the rocket's speed and allows the player to reach the top of the screen and move quickly around the faster obstacles. After reaching the top of Tiki Tong Tower, the primates must fight Tiki Tong, himself. He eats DK's banana hoard and spits the juice on his fellow tikis to mold them together to power up, creating a pair of giant hands. During the boss battle, Tiki Tong must be hit seven times to be beaten (two times on both hands and three times on his head). The places to hit are crystals on the back of his hands and the middle of his head. He will use a set of attacks: Putting one of his hands at the very end of the screen and then slamming both together. The player must jump over them. Slamming them into the middle. The player also must jump over them. Turning both hands horizontal and bringing them to both sides of the screen. The player can duck or jump over them. Spew out flaming Tikis that drop down vertically. They must be avoided by running out of their way. Slam left or right or even both hands onto the platform. the player must jump on them two times to destroy them. When his hands are destroyed, he will slam his head onto the ground, causing a shockwave. The player must jump over these and hit the crystal in his head before he leaves the ground. Advertisement Physical Appearance His appearance is that of wood, with hands formed out of DK and Diddy's bananas and the other leaders of the Tiki Tak Tribe. He has black eyes with red pupils. He also has large nostrils. He also has red and blue markings all over his face/head level. Powers and Abilities Being the lord and chief of the Tiki Tak Tribe, Tiki Tong has more stronger powers than those of his Tiki underlings. These powers include summoning fireballs as well as the use of many hand attacks that range from slapping to a karate chop.
