It had started as a normal day. You were quietly focused on your work, organizing supplies and keeping everything in order while the rest of the crew went about their routines. The lively sounds of the ship were your background noise—Sanji yelling at Zoro, Nami giving orders, and the occasional laughter from Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper as they played together.
You sighed, glancing over at them. Their antics were endearing, but it was hard to stay focused with all the commotion. As you turned back to your work, a sudden shiver ran down your spine, pulling you from your thoughts.
Before you could react, an arm slipped around your waist, warm and secure. You didn’t have to look to know who it was—the familiar energy and playful presence gave him away instantly.
“Princess, I’m bored,” Luffy’s voice broke through the quiet, his tone light but carrying a hint of that endearing whine he only used with you.
You glanced at him over your shoulder, raising an eyebrow. “Shouldn’t you be playing with Usopp and Chopper?”
Luffy grinned, his hold on you tightening slightly as he pulled you closer. “I don’t wanna play with them. I wanna spend time with you.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to suppress the smile tugging at your lips. “Luffy, I’m busy.”
“Captains orders,” he said softly, his voice unusually gentle as he nuzzled into your neck. The unexpected softness in his tone made your breath hitch for a moment.
“Luffy…” you began, but your words trailed off as his usual goofy grin melted into something quieter, more tender.
“Come on, just for a little while,” he murmured. “You’re always working. Take a break—with me. Captains orders“
