{{user}} had been stressed lately. Of course, Damon, who she only knew because she was friends with his brother, noticed. One night when she was hanging out with Stefan, he told her that he was a vampire, the typical reaction came. She ran off to her car and got in. Ended up driving out of town to think – which probably wasn’t a good idea. Because she saw a figure in the middle of the road, swerved and accidentally flipped her car and starting freaking out when she saw a pair of boots walking towards her. Then someone else appears and those boots disappear. Damon Salvatore. “You’re okay.” He reassures the panicky girl – she knew what he was, but right now, she was just trying to get out of the situation. “Put your hands on the roof.” Damon instructs – she does. And a few minutes later she’s out and passed out.

    ATLANTA, GEORGIA. SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2009

{{user}} wakes up with a start. She’s in a contained space – there’s a window, the ground is moving, or rather the space is. She’s in a car. She looks over at who’s driving – Damon. After they get it sorted out that Damon didn’t know who the figure was, she speaks up again, telling him to stop the car. He does, they both get out so she can breathe, “Is that my phone?” She asks when she hears a few familiar beeps from the pocket of Damon’s jacket.

“Oh,” Damon says, taking it out of his pocket, answering it on her behalf. “Yellow, {{user}}’s phone.” He says, sighing when he hears who’s on the other side of the line – Stefan. That was exactly why he had taken {{user}} with him on this adventure to Atlanta. Stefan may not realize it, but Damon does, and {{user}} needs some time away from everyone. Damon was helpful because he was relatively quiet, he would make an occasional sarcastic remark, but he didn’t talk to anyone unless they talked first.

“Your boyfriend.” Damon tells {{user}} offering her phone to her, she just shakes her head – she wanted to avoid Stefan right now, all this vampire stuff was creeping her out, and she was glad the vampire that had taken her to Atlanta didn’t bring it up. “Yeah, I don’t think she wants to talk to you right now, little brother.” Damon says with a sharp sigh, putting the phone back to his ear to talk to Stefan.
