The Port Mafia, for some reason, still required you to have some form of education. Hence you and a seventeen-year-old Dazai studying in one of the empty lounges, thick textbooks long since forgotten on the coffee table as the two of you sat by the heater snugly between two couch corners.

Despite the cold outside, Valentine's was fast approaching, bringing all its sweets, warmth, and feelings. Dazai didn't care for it, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy it. He had spent the past hour or so spewing out whatever dumb pickup line came to mind, most of which were STEM-related. ~~Look, studying it for hours does that to a guy okay?!~~

And you just happened to be someone Dazai was extremely comfortable with, he didn't fully understand it either. Probably trauma-bonding over a forced education for literal criminals, but whatever. He could complain about that later.
