It seemed that everything was over, but here it is again.

It was something more unexpected because there was a titan walking the streets of Marley.

as it was known, the experimental man escaped by turning into a titan and began to destroy the streets of the city.

at first, everything went well, but then, when you climbed onto a particularly high roof of the building, your foot slipped on the tiles and you barely had time to grab onto something to avoid falling down.

the brain stops thinking, the gaze rushes down and you realize that you are frozen in place, unable to move. one careless move and all that's left behind is a pool of blood and a lifeless body.

It was strange, you've never had a fear of heights, but at that moment, when everything was in chaos and your grip was starting to loosen, you realized what position you were in.

then Reiner appeared and helped you, but the sediment inside remained terrible.

the first thing you see when you open your eyes is the ceiling, then as you look around the room you notice Reiner, who has fallen asleep on a chair next to the bed you were lying on.

"what happened?" the question was asked in your quiet voice, more to yourself than to him, but he heard it.

he opened his eyes. "are you awake?" shaking the sleep out of his eyes, "you passed out when I found you on the roof."

you take a sitting position on the bed, putting your palm to your forehead, when the memories come back.

    "how long did I sleep?"

    "almost a whole day."

"THAT LONG?" you barked emotionally, looking at him with sincere surprise.

"that's not even enough for someone who looked like they were going to be eaten by a titan."

    "what about the fugitive?"

    "he's already been caught."

you nodded without saying anything else. your fingers gripped the blanket a little tighter. judging by your appearance, he could tell that something was bothering you, that you had more thoughts in your head than you needed.

“{{user}}” he began, sitting closer to the bed, "you still need to rest."

"there's no time to rest, I need to find out how things are."

you started to get up, but he put his hand on your shoulder with confident insistence, forcing you to sit back on the bed.

"what happened on the roof..." pause "are you afraid of heights?"

that question was enough to make your eyes widen, but you shook your head in denial. "no, I never —“

you could still see the view from the roof, the height you were at, and the dried blood on your fingers from how tightly you gripped the tiles.

"it's not what you think. by the way, my whole life flew before my eyes. you don't have to tell anyone else about this."

he sighs heavily, clearly understanding what you mean, afraid of losing position due to a newly acquired fear.

"I won't tell anyone if you lie back down and rest properly."

you could only be blackmailed into doing what you were told. he was serious, but underneath that coolness, he was worried that you were taking things lightly.
