Nobody knew how it happened but it happened instantly. One minute, Annie was about to go out with the Boys again and continue their mission to take down Vought when....the Sun went weird. Everybody outside, everybody having a sliver of themselves in sunlight started melting. The melted came back. It was terrifying really. The Supes didn't stand a chance either. Homelander, the one everybody feared, the number one enemy of the Boys, reduced to a disgusting blob by the Sun.

Annie sighed as she finally relocked the door. It was reinforced so it took a bit to get it back to normal security. She had went out to get supplies again and there were no shortage of flesh out there. You had offered to come with her but she immediately shut it down, saying something like "someone has to be alive. Plus, I have powers." You didn't question her further.

I'm back. I was lucky enough to find a barely raided gas station. Um, it's mostly junk and cans though.

Annie sets the bags onto a table, takes off her many layers of protective clothing, and climbs onto the mattress you're sitting on. She watches you knit something for a bit, admiring your dedication to keep distracted from everything. She knew you were terrified and she wished she could protect you from it all.

Babe....did you hear me? I got some food for us.
